Con Watch: Edmonton Expo 2016

The city’s largest pop culture event of the year is just around the corner. With last year’s attendance breaking the 50,000 mark, you can expect this year to be just as big and unwieldy.

What to see? What to do? There’s always so much going on concurrently at the Edmonton Expo that it’s hard to figure out where to go, who to see, and what to purchase. If you spend too much time at a vendor’s booth, you might miss a panel you really wanted to attend. If you go get a celebrity autograph, you might be waiting in line when the cosplay contest starts. The con offers so much that trying to manage it all can be frustrating.

Carrie Fisher

Stephen Amell

Enjoying a con, if you’re someone who likes to actually see and do things, is all about time management. That’s why we’ve broken down the highlights for each day of the Expo, along with some of my personal recommendations. You can see full programming information on the Edmonton Expo website.
